Betty leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Betty’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelson and Mary Bell Basden; and her husband Billy Williams. She is survived by: her children, Kevin Williams (Glenda) of Farmville and Kristin Stapleford (David) of Ayden; her granddaughter Clarissa of Farmville; and her siblings, Rose Clark of Kinston and James H. Basden of Washington State. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested and would be grateful for memorial contributions to assist with Miss Nancy's funeral.
