It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Randolph Elks of Grifton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Newton and Maggie Newton of Farmville; his siblings, Hazel Smith of Raleigh, Kirk Newton of Raleigh, Richard Newton of Raleigh and Barbara Guzek of Wilmington; his adoptive parents, Daniel Elks and Esther Elks of Greenville; and his foster sister Carrie Creech of Greenville.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Bryan; his daughters, Lori Hart of Ayden, Kim Carper (Mike) of Shelby, NC and Lisa Pulaski (Brian) of Brooksville, KY; his grandchildren, Justin (Beth), Ryan, Caroline, Jessica Lauren, Kelsey and Kody; and his great grandchildren, Jaron, Emma Leigh and Braxton.
