He was predeceased by : his parents, Garland Gupton and Nellie West Gupton; his brothers, Jeff Gupton, Garland Gupton and Timmy Gupton; and his pets, Hattie and Maggie.

He is survived by : his spouse Pete Lange; and his brothers, Mike Gupton of Clinton and Mark Gupton of Roseboro. He is also survived by nieces; one grandniece; one grandnephew.
