He was predeceased by: his parents, Ressie Whaley and Doris Whaley. He is survived by: his family Gary; his wife Belva; his son Bevan Whaley (Ginger); his siblings, Dean Casey (Marshall) and Lester Cruse (Daphne); and his grandson Alex. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Tanglewood Church (2103 Rouse Rd, Kinston, NC 28504). A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504).
