He was predeceased by : his wife Nettie "Florence" Braswell; and his brothers, Hershal Braswell and Graham Braswell. He is survived by : his children, Denise Huff (Gerard) of Wilson, Vernon Lamar Braswell (Vicki) of Kinston and Ivan Braswell (Penny) of Grifton; his grandchildren, Emily Hooker (Sean), Sarah Huff, Alice Huff, April Lee (Daniel), Jordan Braswell (Kia), Daniel Hill (Kaitlyn) and Andrew Braswell; his great grandchildren, Kai Hooker, Gideon Hooker, Luke Hill, Gabriel Hill, Kayleigh Hill, Natalie Hill, Danny Hill and Reid Lee; and his sisters, Marie Deans of Pine Level and Eunice Weaver of Smithfield.
