He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Manning (Hattie) and Vera Smith. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Manning; his daughter Jenny Manning Johnson; his grandson Ayden Johnson of Grifton; and his siblings, Peggy Webber (Truman) of Ayden, Marsha Heath (Paul) of Hugo, Patsy Burrus of Snow Hill, Debra Johnson of Hugo and Chuck Wade (Penny) of Kinston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to establish a college fund for his grandson, Ayden, 1810 E. Hanrahan Rd., Ayden, NC 28513 or to Elm Grove OFWB Church, 5413 Weyerhaeuser Rd, Ayden, NC 28513.
