He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Cross, Jr. and Mable Lee Horne; and his daughter Christal Cross. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Gail Hardee; his children, Monica and Danny Earl Hardee of Grimesland; his sisters, Elaine Smith (Linwood) of West Virginia, Brenda Huggins of Grifton, Tammy Cross of Grifton and Teresa Evans (James) of Grifton; and his grandson D. J. Hardee.
