He is survived by: his wife Leslie Green Matthews; his children, Jonathan Matthews of Granite Falls and Kellie Matthews Kirby (Donnie) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Isaac and Madison Kirby; and his brothers, Bruce Matthews (Ann) of Claremont and David McGraw (Shirley) of Conover.
