He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Ray and Shirley Perry Short; and his son Ronald Eugene Short Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Donna Cantrell Short; his children, April Lynn, Rhonda Diane, Joseph Lee, Benjamin Lee, Marilyn Margaret, Wesley Malcolm, Sabrina Irene, Cecily Rose and Donna; and his siblings, Billy Joe Short (Sally), Violet Lavonne Lattimore (Ronnie), Betty Jane Wright (Roger) and Mary Frances Towery (Pete).
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (108 S Piedmont Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086).
