He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Knox and Ruth Smith McCutcheon; his daughter Wanda Kay Knox; and his siblings, Collie Knox, Louise Eng, Vera Knox, Sally Campbell and Angie Wingard.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Philbeck Knox; his children, Robert Eugene "Gene" Knox (Janet) of Grover, Tammy Whitaker (Mike) of Grover and Danny Knox (Darlene) of Grover; his siblings, Marie Helmes, Doris McGinnis and Kenneth Knox (Lynn); his grandchildren, Daniel Knox (Melissa), Sabrina Gabriele, Mikey Whitaker, Caleb Whitaker, Brandon Jarrett (Tiffany), Blake Jarrett (Christine) and Taylor Brittany Knox; and his great grandchildren, Dallas Gabriele, Keelie Gabriele, Grady Jarrett, Jada Jarrett, Gunner Jarrett, Bailey Jarrett, Blake Jarrett and Zachary Harris.
