He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Burley "Pug" Alston and Lillian Burton Alston; and his brother Antonio (Ray Alston). He is survived by: his daughter Melanie Yelity-Azard (Ronald); his close friend Edith Coates; his sisters, Valeria (Nathaniel), Andrea, Lori, Kimberly and April (Christopher); his nephew LeVar; and his niece Latisha. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
