William Ronnie Hales Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ronnie Hales Sr. of Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry William's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May William's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Taylor Strickland; his daughter Barbara Denise Hales; and his sister Wanda Hardee. He is survived by: his stepfather W. Irving Strickland; his wife Eleanor Jones Hales; his sons, William Ronnie Hales, Jr. (Colleen) and Mitchell Byron Hales; and his grandchildren, Helene McPhail and Liam Hales.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Community Center Baptist Church (2360 Ridgecrest Rd, Halifax, NC 27839). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Community Center Baptist Church or to Easter Seals UCP North Carolina in Ronnie's memory.
