He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl R. Martin and Mildred C. Martin; his wife Ann Ardis Martin; and his brother Carl "Bubba" Martin. He is survived by: his children, Cherie M. Deese (Tommy) of Rockingham, NC, Chris M. Henson (Greg) of Hamlet, NC. and John L. Martin (Tracy) of Hamlet, NC.; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Davenport Christin D. (T. J.) and Adams Mckenzie (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Addison Davenport and Monroe Martin; and his siblings, Eddie Martin, John Martin and Cherie Suggs.
