He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther William Hudson Sr. and Carrie Hudson English; and his siblings, Luther Hudson Jr., Peggy Courtney, Billie Bullard and Mary Ellen Norton.
He is survived by: his wife Retta Laurie Hudson; his stepchildren, Alicia Magee and Jason Fowler; and his sister Ruby Roscoe. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
