With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Robert Wilson (Hamlet, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wilson, Sr. and Blannie Wilson; his wife Cathy; and his siblings, Lawrence Wilson, Paul Wilson Jr., Barbara Wilson King, Jeanette Wilson Gardner and Mary Wilson Collins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy, Dr. Allison Farrah (Butch Farrah) and Judge Amanda Wilson Dawkins (Travis Dawkins); his grandchildren, Mary Catherine Coltrane, Matt Farrah (Edie), Olivia Farrah (Sam Muse), Paige Dawkins Coulthard (Alex) and Ben Dawkins (Carly); his great grandchildren, Weslynn, Ella, Nora and Malana; his sisters, Linda Wilson Garner, Helen Wilson Randall (Harvey), Sara Wilson Johnson (Jim) and Rachel Wilson; his sister-in-law Betty Wilson; John Wilson Dawkins (Will). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
