With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Louise Ruegner of Hampstead, North Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Barbara leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Otto Ruegner and Sophie Bereda Ruegner; and her brother Emil H. Ruegner. She is survived by: her nieces, Leigh Anne R. Facello of Charleston and Sherry R. Howard of Asheville; her great-nieces, Alexandra Howard, Madison Facello and Caitlin Facello; and her friend Barbara.
