He was predeceased by : his parents, James Warren Piver and Etha Estelle White Piver; his siblings, Joan Piver Taylor and Rupert Piver; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth and George Kelly.

He is survived by : his wife Glenda Kay Piver; his daughters, Glenda Piver LaBelle and Luellyn Piver; his granddaughters, Haley LaBelle Odenbrett (Peyton) and Lauren Elizabeth LaBelle; his siblings, Judson Piver (Selma) and Charlotte Piver Kelly; his brother-in-law John Taylor; his nieces, Jackie (Stan), Christie (Bert) and DeLaine (Juan); his nephew Marshall (Sharon); and his close friend Susan Geddie Parker. He is also survived by several great-nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hampstead Chapel (17730 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Topsail Presbyterian Church (16249 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at the Topsail Presbyterian Church Cemetery (16249 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443).

He always spoke to you in the hall and if he was having a bad day, he never showed it. My memories from Topsail High School will always be with me. God has another special angel.
