As Laurie-Jo departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Laurie-Jo may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Laurie-Jo leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Joseph Bauer and Jean Kyle Bauer; and her husband Carmen Cardea. She is survived by: her children, Tom (Kelly) and Erin; and her brother Scott (Kathy). She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces, and beloved in-laws.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Wilmington Funeral and Cremation (16076 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443).
