We are sad to announce that, on May 12, 2026, at the age of 88, Martha Gay Morton of Hampstead, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel James Fleming, II and Marion Beatrice Kerr; her brothers, Samuel Fleming-Burns and Warren Peter Burns; her children, Gaye Fleming Morton Hurst, Allyson Burns Morton Runfola and James Allen Morton, III; and her granddaughter Ainsley Elizabeth Morton.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sara Runfola Blair (Jarrod), Hannah Elizabeth Haupricht, Connor James Morton, Colin Allen Morton and Carson Dean Morton; her great grandchild Noah James Blair; and her children-in-law, Douglas Albert Hurst (Gaye) and Tammy Prince Morton (James).
