He is survived by: his children, Gary Dietz (Nisal) of Rocky Mount, Paula Cooke (Amby Flores) of Hamptonville, Denise Surber of Greensboro and Mary Dietz of Greensboro; and his brother Lee Dietz (Carolyn) of Welcome.
