She was predeceased by : her parents, Milton Homer and Grace Ashley Swaim; her siblings, Earl, Flake, Claude and Mozelle Brown; and her sister-in-law Lorene Swaim.

She is survived by : her brother-in-law Alvin Brown; her husband Dennis Spicer; her sister-in-law Gerry Swaim; her nieces and nephews, Robert Swaim, Dean Swaim, Gail Metzger, Glenda Pardue, Jan Storie, Kathy Ray and Dawn Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Chris Spicer (Sheri), Darrion Spicer (Tammy), Brenda Carter (Ricky), Bonnie Spicer and Debbie Sides. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
