With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janice Owens (Harbinger, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jerry Judson and Jennie O'Neal Bunch. She is survived by : her husband Dean Owens; her children, Diane Newbern (Lindley Gray), Garry (Diane), James (Beverly), Timothy (Doug Fruehling) and Jerry Gibbs (Maria); her grandchildren, Jason Newbern (Jenn), Jennie Turner (Chris), Allison Mason (Greg), Matthew Owens (Jaime) and Brian Owens (Renee); her great grandchildren, Savannah Newbern (Christopher Thomas), Callie, Brynn, Blake Mason, Jaxon, Sophie Owens-Kendzulak, Lindsay, Grayson Newbern, Ashley Johnson (Brandon) and Anna Owens; and her great great grandchildren, Sebastien, Rowan Thomas, Konnor and Adalyn Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powells Point Christian Church (197 Church Rd, Harbinger, NC 27941). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, gifts to Powells Point Christian Church, 197 Church Road, Harbinger, NC 27941, to build widows' homes in Burundi, Africa, would be appreciated.
