He was predeceased by: his father William Howard Owens, Sr.; his wife Rena Bridgeman Owens; his daughter Arlene Pugh; his siblings, Doris J. Owens, William H. Owens, Jr. and Jesse Owens; his sons-in-law, Dennis Speight, William Perry and William Pugh; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Rene Speight and Christopher Lee Perry; and his great grandchildren, William David Roe and Jacqueline Speight.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Vance (Fred) of Harbinger, NC, Sue Owens (Reggie) of Harbinger, NC, Bonnie Speight of Harbinger, NC and Miranda Perry; and his brother Calvin Owens. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
