She was predeceased by : her parents, George M. Rogers and Maggie Rogers; and her former life partner Dr. Gene E. Rainey. She is survived by : her spouse Professor Gene E. Rainey of Pinehurst, Texas.; her children, Cheryl Billante of Austin, TX and Eric Rainey of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Zachary Billante, Penelope and Hugo Rainey.
