He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgel Ray Handy and Irene Shumate Handy; and his siblings, Tracy Handy, Reavis Handy and Mamie Sprinkle (Blueheeler Trixie).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Tracy Franklin Handy and Barbara Lynn Johnson (Charles) of Traphill; his grandchildren, Leigha Pruitt (Justin) and Jordyn Goulding (Nick); his brother James Handy (Darlene) of Taylorsville; his nephew Caleb Handy of Greenville; and his pet Blackie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; his coffee friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Union Grove Christian Church (1855 W Memorial Hwy, Harmony, NC 28634). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Harmony City Cemetery Cemetery.
