She was predeceased by : her parents, Offie Coite Sloan and Margaret Walters Sloan; her husband Virgil Shaver; her brothers, Lawrence Sloan and Joe Sloan; and her grandson John Horne.
She is survived by : her daughters, Gay Horne (Michael) and Jean Shaver Cranfill; her siblings, Elizabeth Foster and Howard Sloan (Christine); her sister-in-law Jean Sloan; and her grandchildren, David Horne (Monika), Paul Horne, Joel Horne, Valerie Trivette, Timothy Ingram (Ingrid) and William Ingram (Katie).
