It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lewis Tharpe (Harmony, North Carolina), who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Duke Tharpe and Sebia Ijames Tharpe; his brother-in-law Roy C. Safley; and his great-nephew Jonathan Safley. He is survived by : his daughter Patti; his son-in-law Ken Gilreath; his sister Minnie T. Safley; his granddaughter Kendra Myers; his great grandchildren, Gavin and Alex Myers; his nephews, Jeff Safley and Greg Safley (Debbie); his niece Lynn Riddle (Barry); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeffrey, Sara, Hunter Safley, Jessica, Jalyn, Jeanna Phelps and Sophia Safley; his friends, JoAnn Mills, Cathy Mills, Ed, Sharen Troutman, Wayne, Diane and Daniel Smith; and also Cliff Stack.
