We announce the death of Wendell Odell Stroud of Harmony, North Carolina, who passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 95. Wendell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Frankie Cain Stroud; his parents, Lester Ray and Ila Dickens Stroud; his brother Page; his sister-in-law Mary Stroud; his sister Janice; and his siblings-in-law, Junior Ratledge and Peggy Galliher (Dwight).
He is survived by: his children, Donna Mitchell (Cecil Privette) and Gene Stroud (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Jennifer Leaird (Corey) and Levi Stroud; his great grandchildren, Sadie Leaird and Samuel Leaird; his sister Phyllis Ward (Jim); his siblings-in-law, Sue Earhardt (Bill), Ray Cain (Nancy) and Larry Cain; and his caregiver Patricia Perrow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
