He is survived by: his children, Melissa Singletary of Fayetteville, NC, Edward Charles "Skip" Murrell, Jr. of Harrells, NC, Shawn C. Murrell of Palm Beach, FL and Michael Murrell of Philadelphia, PA; and his siblings, Dianne Eakins of Harrells, NC and Norman Murrell of Harrells, NC. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Roseville Missionary Baptist Church (2870 Wilmington Hwy, Willard, NC 28478). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Murrell Family Cemetery (3220 Buckhorn Rd, Harrells, NC 28444).
