He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Mack Barr, Sr. and Ella Mae Barr; his former wife Clara June Barr; his cousin Alvin Jordan; his granddaughter Tasha Barr; Patsy Lou Barr and Suzanne Barr.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Barr (Debby), Michael Barr (Brenda), Tony Barr (Paula) and Kathryn Myers (Lee); his stepchildren, Danny, Ricky Jones, Tori Jones, Dee Jones and Lisa Hatley; and his grandchildren, Melanie Torres, Lanny Barr, David Barr and Joshua Greene. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland (13575 Broadway Ave, Midland, NC 28107). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home & Crematory (13575 Broadway Ave, Midland, NC 28107).
