The memory of David William Groom of Harrisburg, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Audrey Fawcett and Grace Lucille Groom; his sister Shirley; and his cousin Marian. He is survived by: his wife Joan; and his children, Brent (Heather) of Lehi, UT, Brandon of San Diego, CA, Jeff (Sara) of Durango, CO, Lisa Beachum (Matthew) of Harrisburg, NC and Debbie of Harrisburg, NC. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Hartsell Funeral Home (12115 University City Blvd, Harrisburg, NC 28075). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "WaterAid" or a charity of your choice in Dave's memory.
