She was predeceased by: her parents, Norma McConner and Walter R. McConner; her siblings, Norma Elaine, Muriel, Walter R. Jr. (Buddy), Stanley McConner, James Nobel and Courtney Jones; her brothers-in-law, Courtney Jones, James Nobel, Stanley McConner and Walter R. Jr. (Buddy); and her husband Melvin Lester Douglas.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Venida (Donny); her sister-in-law Ora; her grandson Alfred (Kimberly); her great grandchildren, Alfred Jr. (AJ), Emerson and Emanuel; her close friend Ouida Charles; Ron and Pam. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg (12115 University City Blvd, Harrisburg, NC 28075).
