He was predeceased by : his parents, David Franklin Green and Nannie Bell Tucker Green; and his siblings, Wilburn Greene, Billy Green, Ruth Sides, Helen Humberger and Shirley Dee.

He is survived by : his wife Jo Aycoth Green; his daughters, Cynthia West (Edward) of Concord, Carolyn Lomax (Darrell) of Concord, Kay Craven (Larry) of Concord and Nita Swearingen (Paul) of Harrisburg; and his sister Frances Kirby of Concord. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
