She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Eudy and Margaret Eudy; and her siblings, Daniel "Bud" Eudy and Sylvia Eudy Hamby. She is survived by: her husband Earl Fortner; her sons, Keith Fortner (Nancy) and Brent Fortner (Christel); her sister Patsy Lee; her grandchildren, Julie Fortner, Andrew Fortner and Max Fortner (Crystal); her stepgrandchildren, Kristyn Slater Davis (Luke), Cole Slater and Jake Slater; her great grandchild Lillie Saunders; and her stepgreat-grandchild Cade Davis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church (6401 Hickory Grove Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
