She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Brown and Jeanette R. Brown; her husband Bill (Bill); her son William T. Cottrell Jr. (Willy); and her sisters, Janice Ann Bowers, Rebecca Alice Egan and Patricia Burnett.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Cottrell (Leah) of Denver, NC, Ted Cottrell (Cindy) of Clayton, NC and Kelly Cottrell of South River, NJ; her grandchildren, Jared Cottrell, Sarah Ghysels (Luciano), Mikhayla Cottrell, Summer Cottrell and Sydney Cottrell; and her sister Clarice Audrey Gill of Springfield, OH. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the New Apostolic Church (2535 Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
