He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Austin and Kate Harrell Austin; and his siblings, Ernest Desmond Austin, Decatur H. Austin, Sr. (Olive S. Austin), Minnie A. Burrus (William "Bill" Burrus), David F. Austin (Ola B. Austin) and Avis A. Davis (Charles W. Davis).
He is survived by: his nephews, William Dale Burrus, Charles W. Davis, Jr. and Gary Austin. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and other dear friends.
