She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Peele and Fulford Peele; her brother Shankie; her sister-in-law Donna Peele; and her nieces and nephews, Margie, George Easley and Robbie Gray.
She is survived by: her husband Jeff "Honey" Walters of Hatteras, NC; her children, Heath Brown (Jessica) of Jupiter, FL and Coral Dickens of Hatteras, NC; her grandchildren, Charlotte, Ashton and Ellie; her siblings, Winona Burroughs of Hatteras, NC and Barrie Peele (Jeannie) of Virginia Beach, VA; and her sister-in-law Andrea Reigel (Darrell) of Marion, NC.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hatteras United Methodist Church (57665 North Carolina Hwy 12, Hatteras, NC 27943). A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
