With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Gaydon Davis (Havelock, North Carolina), who passed away on September 29, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Gaydon and Opal Gaydon of Graham; her brother Bobby Joe Gaydon; and her nephew Kurt Gaydon. She is survived by: her daughter Leigh Coble Sonkens; her granddaughters, Bayleigh and Cassidy Sonkens of Seattle, WA.; her significant other Captain Stephen Grant; her sister-in-law Lana Gaydon; and her niece Kin Woody "Little Kim".
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Betty's honor to Coastal Conservation Association of NC, 4809 Hargrove Road #123, Raleigh, NC 27616.
