With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edward Cheever of Havelock, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Yasuko Cheever; his daughters, Andrea Cheever Cooper and Margaret Cheever Mewborn; and his siblings, Katherine Litchfield, Blanche Scott, Marion Gillis, Mary Kearns, Margaret Cheever, James, Thomas and Jackie Cheever.
He is survived by: his children, Catherine Hill (Kevin) of Morehead City, NC and Jimmy Cheever (Geri) of Newport, NC; his sisters, Johanna McCafferty of Boston, MA and Dorothy Fagan of Boston, MA; his grandchildren, Whitney Girard, J. J. Cheever, Thomas Cheever, Anthony Cheever, Michelle Loucks, Kevin Cooper and Gene Adams; his great grandchildren, Hailey Filipovich, Hannah Cheever, Bailey Renfrow, Nevaeh Cheever, Macon Cheever, Easton Adams, Emersyn Adams, Isabella Cooper, Luna Cooper, Lila Cooper, Luke Mitiguy and Ada Mitiguy; and his great great grandchild Bristol Blake Filipovich.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Munden Funeral Home & Cremations (908 Lake Rd, Havelock, NC 28532). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
