It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elma Herring Henderson (Havelock, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Herring and Bessie Herring; her husband Lonnie P. Henderson; and her siblings, Beulah Corbett, Lucille Kelly, Unia Garner, Fred Herring and Guy Walker Herring.
She is survived by: her daughters, Renee Henderson (Gary Smith) of Wildwood and LaVonne Jones (Johnny) of Wildwood; and her grandson Jonathan Byron-Paul Jones (Emily).
