It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn McCaffity of Havelock, North Carolina, born in Aurora, North Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Dewey Carawan; her husband Henry McCaffity; and her son Jimmy McCaffity. She is survived by: her sons, Lewis McCaffity (Candy) of Blairsville, GA and Bobby McCaffity (Xiaolin) of Frisco, TX; her daughter-in-law Lisa McCaffity of Newport; and her sisters, Gladys Bunn of Bayboro and Edna Foy of New Bern. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
