He was predeceased by: his father Mitchell Merrill Russell Sr.; and his sisters, Susan McKee and Cindy Willis. He is survived by: his wife Becky Russell; his children, Whitney Russell of Newport and Mitchell Merrill Russell III (Ann) of Leland; his brothers, Glenn Dale Russell (Gwynn) of Bogue and Sammy Lee Russell (Barbara) of Newport; his brothers-in-law, Terry McKee of Waynesville and Wayne Willis of Bogue; and his grandchildren, Alex Russell, Cassidy Russell, Morgan Outerbridge, Cameron Outerbridge and Graysen Outerbridge.
