It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Naomi Newby of Havelock, North Carolina, born in Newport, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Garner and Ruby Garner; her husband Alton Gene Newby; and her son John Timothy Newby. She is survived by: her sons, Garfield Newby and Virgil Newby; her daughters-in-law, Tiny Krahn and Darleen Newby; her grandchildren, Daniel Newby, Isaiah Newby, Anna Newby, Timothy Newby and Michael Newby; and her great grandchildren, Abram, Ainslee, Arielle, Julian, Camron and Hunter.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in memory of Naomi, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
