He was predeceased by: his father Willie Jones; his wife Lena Jones; his daughter Marlene Schoden (Wayne); his son-in-law Paul Blight; his siblings, Ruth Mottolo, Kenneth Jones and Infant Thomas Jones; his granddaughter Kelly Blight; and his stepgrandson Brandon Moseley.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Blight of Newport, Lorraine Adams (Steve) of New Bern and William "Bill" Jones Jr. (Helen) of Newport; his grandchildren, Rebecca McArtan (William "Bill"), Jennifer Jones, Jill Sullivan, Lori Mobley, Steve Adams (Sabrina) and Shawn Adams (Perry); his sister Louise Jones Smith of Newport; his stepgrandchildren, Bryan Taylor and Christy Willis (Rich); and his friends, Carol King and Mill Creek. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
