He was predeceased by : his parents, Devette Mack and Mary Isabell McCracken Wood; his former life partner Elanda Wood; his daughter Teresa Lynn Wood; and his siblings, Pearl Allison and Devette Mack "Jim" Wood.
He is survived by : his wife Trina Alderson Wood; his son Everett Paul "Jay" Wood, Jr. of Burlington; his brother John Wesley Wood of San Diego; his half-sisters, Sherry Ferrell and Gaynell Abernathy; and his grandchildren, Patricia Anne Wood, Rebecca Marie Wood and Robert Preston Page. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
