It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenda Sykes Phillips of Haw River, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her spouse Ottis Melton Phillips; her father John Benjamin Sykes; and her brother Walter "Buddy" Sykes. She is survived by : her sons, Barry Phillips, Terry Phillips, Blane Phillips and Neal Phillips (Lisa); and her siblings, Kay Lankford (Johnny), John Richard Sykes (Glenda) and Robert "Frankie" Sykes (Brenda). She is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to respectfully ask that masks be worn and social distancing be observed for those attending.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
