He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Riggins and Frances Moize Oakley; his stepson Pruitt A. Rainey; and his granddaughter Scarlett Riggins. He is survived by: his wife Mona Bowers Riggins; his children, Chris Riggins (Kristen Fugate), Jennifer Riggins (Jared Lee) and Jaycob Riggins (Chelsey Riggins) of Jacksonville, NC; and his stepson Johnny Wood of Haw River. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
