With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean Frye (Hayesville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 9, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Thomas and Ruby Turner Thomas; her husband James Curtis Frye, Sr.; her son Ron Frye; and her grandchildren, Ronda Frye and Frederick Driggers.

She is survived by: her children, Don Frye (Ann) of Tavares, FL, Jamie Frye of Orlando, FL, Debbie Laster of Warne, NC, Janet Driggers (Mike) of Murphy, NC, Patty Newsom (Mike) of Warne, NC and Kathy Newsom (Terry) of Pleasant Shade, TN; and her grandchildren, Amy Tacon, Donald "Brooks" Frye II, Edward Michael Driggers, Jr., Michelle Bomer, Curtis Driggers, Joey Driggers, Terry Lee Newsome II, Jeremiah Wilkins, Amanda Kramer and Shauni Frye. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
