He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Johnnie Mease Cheeks; and his brothers, Ermal Cheeks and John Allen Cheeks. He is survived by: his sons, David Cheek and Jon Cheek; the mother of his children Jane Nelson Cheek; and his siblings, Carolyn Gregory and Hub Cheeks. He is also survived by two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
