He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hogsed and Flo Garrett Hogsed; and his daughter Julie Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Ivy Smith Hogsed; his son Greg Hogsed of Atlanta, GA; his sister Patricia Ann Carter of Hiawassee, GA; his grandson Jamie Bowen (Sara); and his great grandchildren, Evie Bowen and Eli Bowen.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Camp 64 Pitstop (42 Davenport Campground, Hayesville, NC 28906).
